Tips for San Francisco touring

Independent golf tips for the professional at Leisure

July 2009

Tips for San Francisco

I've been going to San Francisco for decades, and it's one of my favorites places in the whole world!  The food is wonderful!  See my San Francisco dining tips

For first-timers, try these activities:

  • Cable cars - No trip to San Francisco is complete without riding Nob Hill and the cable car to fisherman's wharf.

  • Segway ride - There are segway tours at fisherman's wharf, perfect for the visiting geek.

  • Cow Palace - a fun shopping area in the marina district.

  • Presidio - Take a ride around the presidio and see the golf course and mansions.

  • Haight Ashbury - See the birth of hippies.
